5 Tips for Getting a Good Night's Sleep

Who doesn’t want a good night's sleep? There’s nothing better than waking up feeling well-rested and ready to seize the day! At Wyndmere, we’ve collected some of our favorite ways to promote peaceful slumber, including the best essential oils for sleep!

How to Sleep Better at Night

Participate in a Calming Activity. From drinking a soothing cup of tea to enjoying a nice hot bath, calming activities can help your brain start to wind down. Looking for something a tad more engaging? Play a relaxing audiobook or soothing music.-;basl90

Stick to a Schedule. Believe it or not, going to bed and waking up at the same time can help regulate your sleep-wake cycle! Try to keep your bedtime consistent, even on the weekends.

Get Active. Exercising regularly helps you get a deeper night’s sleep, helping to prepare your brain and body for a productive morning. Just be careful not to exercise too close to your bedtime!

Create a Restful Environment. Winding down in a restful space can help signal to your brain that it’s time to snooze. Make sure your room is dark and that the temperature is comfortable. Turn those phones off (trust us, it helps!) and get ready to doze off.

Harness the Benefits of Essential Oils. Pure essential oils can help us unwind at the end of a long day. Try thoughtfully incorporating essential oils into your nighttime routine! Whether you choose to use them in a diffuser or dilute them, essential oils can bring a sense of relaxation, peace, and even sleepiness.

Best Essential Oils for Sleep

Not sure which essential oil to choose? Here are three of our recommendations and what makes them so special:

Mandarin - This sweet citrus scent encourages sleepiness while helping to relieve stress and nervous tension that can keep us up past our bedtime. A few drops of this citrusy essential oil in a diffuser will likely send you off to dreamland.

Lavender - Lavender has so many uses, and relaxation is at the top of the list! One of our favorite ways to use this essential oil? Make a linen spray for your bedsheets. Try our DIY linen spray recipe to make your bed an even calmer environment to drift off in.

Wyndmere’s Sleepy Time Blend - Our carefully curated blend of Mandarin, Marjoram, Lavender, Ylang Ylang, and Vetiver essential oils has everything you need for a good night’s sleep. Use in a diffuser, incorporate into your bath (we also offer a bath salt option), or dilute and use in a massage.

Whichever essential oil for sleep you choose, we hope it brings you the joy and relaxation you deserve.
