Outdoor spray to keep the bugs at bay

When summer comes to the land of ten thousand lakes you betcha we can be found lakeside with a fishing pole in hand. But with the longer days and sunshine come all the pesky insects that can make it hard to enjoy oneself outside.  Keep this outdoor spray in your tackle box for a natural way to avoid the #minnesotashuffle this summer!
Eucalyptus Lemon (Eucalyptus citriodora) is remarkable for its lemony, citronella-like fragrance.  We like to add it to our outdoor spray as a family-friendly way to keep the bugs at bay.
For the outdoor spray, we use two parts water, one part witch hazel, a tablespoon of aloe vera, and 15-20 drops each Citronella, Lemongrass, Geranium and Lavender in an 8 ounce mister bottle.
