Lemon Ginger Sugar Scrub
We think it’s safe to say that we’re all feeling a bit off. This fall here in Minnesota, we’ve been having more rain than usual. To combat the urge to start early hibernation, we are in our test studio creating a simple yet beautiful #diy
Lemon
Ginger Sugar Scrub!
Lemon essential oil is best known for its ability to cleanse toxins from the body, and it’s widely used to stimulate and rejuvenate energy with its light, fresh citrus scent. A great purifier, Lemon aids our natural immune system while also stimulating lymphatic drainage, which is how it helps the body to cleanse itself of wastes and toxins.
Ginger essential oil is very restorative for vital health. Ginger is commonly used in Chinese medicine to strengthen the heart and restore the flow of stagnant chi (yes please). A mood booster and nausea reliever, Ginger is uplifting and energizing. Its warm and spicy aroma adds a cheerful, grounding energy to this scrub that brings added benefits for the circulatory system and a warming and soothing effect on your muscles.
Ingredients:
2 cups white sugar
40 drops Lemon EO
15-20 drops Ginger EO
To make this scrub, start by diluting your essential oils into warmed-up coconut oil. Put this mixture in large mixing bowl and add 2 cups white sugar. Mix quickly before the coconut oil hardens, and you’re done! Store in your favorite jar or split into two jars and give one as a gift!
