Hydrosols are the scented water that is left over from the essential oil distillation process.  They contain trace amounts of the essential oil as well as up to hundreds of botanical compounds from the plant itself.  Hydrosols are more gentle than essential oils which makes them great for sensitive and irritated skin.

Being water-soluble, it is best stored in the refrigerator after use.
