Breathe Blend Shower Melt DIY Recipe

  • 2 min read

Stuffed up nose got you down? Or maybe you have someone in your home you’re trying to help find relief for. Young or old, these shower melts are a great tool for anyone try to get rid of sinus congestion and help support healthy respiratory and immune systems.

Today’s DIY recipe uses only 3 ingredients! Simply follow the instructions below and you’ll be on your way to a congestion-free future in no time. Make a double batch and store in an airtight container so relief is always on hand.

Ingredients

-2 cups Cornstarch

-3 T water

-20 drops Breathe Blend

You will also need a medium mixing bowl, a whisk, and an ice cube tray.

Directions

-Place Breathe Blend and Cornstarch into mixing bowl and whisk until combined. The mixture should be a crumbly powder.

-Whisk in water.  Note: This amount of water is not enough but is a great starting point. Slowly add more until you reach a paste-like consistency.

-Once you have reached a paste-like consistency (it should be nice and thick, NOT watery), transfer mixture into ice trays taking care to smooth the mixture nice and flat.

-Freeze for an hour or two until your shower melts are set.

To use, simply place one of the melts on the floor of your shower and turn the water on. We love how the essential oils fill the shower as the water and steam hit the melt causing it to slowly break down and diffuse the aroma of the oil into the air.

***Take care not to over-do the mixture with water or you may have to leave the melts frozen until use. Otherwise you can place them in an airtight jar and store in a cool & dry place.
