These days, we all need time for a little self-care, and what’s better than unwinding in a nice, hot bath? Letting the stress of life melt away for an hour or so can do wonders for our mental and emotional health. Luckily, it doesn’t take much to create a mini-spa moment in your very own tub. 

Creating a Mini-Spa Moment

Here are our tips to make your bath time experience even more luxurious and relaxing:

  • Candles - a nicely scented candle can provide the perfect atmosphere.

  • Music - put on your favorite album and let soothing sounds wash over you. Think of it as a bath for your ears.

  • Beverages - who doesn’t love a cup of herbal tea (or something stronger)  to accompany you while you soak?

  • Luxurious Towel & Robe - stepping out of the bath doesn’t mean that the good times have to end. You can even bring your pj’s into the bathroom to maximize coziness through the whole experience. 

Incorporating Essential Oils into Your Bath 

Want an exciting way to enhance this relaxing ritual? Try adding essential oils in the bath. This can elevate your experience, providing a respite from the world. And, there are so many methods to try:

Mix essential oil bath salts directly into your bath water. 

Create your own bubble bath by diluting your favorite scent (or blend!) with carrier oil. After you shake the combination, pour it directly under the running water as your bath fills up. 

End your bath time routine with an essential oil lotion or massage oil that’ll encourage peacefulness long after you’ve dried off. 

We encourage you to experiment until you discover what you like best. 

The Best Essential Oils for Baths

If you’re not sure which essential oils to start with, we love the following: 

  • Eucalyptus is a tried and true bath time favorite because it helps to reduce stress while simultaneously energizing and refreshing your spirits.

  • Relaxing Blend soothes the mind with a combination of Lavender, Tangerine, Roman Chamomile, and Patchouli essential oils (among others). This blend will help get you ready to drift off to sleep once you’re done with your bath.
