Essential oils are a great tool to help keep you cool during the summertime. EOs like Peppermint, Spearmint and even Eucalyptus can help with the sweltering hot days.

Peppermint is full of menthol and is known for its ability to help headaches with the way it relaxes and eases tension. Yet Peppermint is actually a stimulant and mixed with all that menthol you get a perfect combination for a hot day at the beach. We love the pick-me-up that we get when we use this EO in our Summer Sun Spray recipe.

Spearmint as an alternative to Peppermint is lighter in aroma and but has the same benefits and properties. Use together or separately - it's entirely up to your preference!

Eucalyptus acts as a nice option to Peppermint and Spearmint EOs as it has similar cooling effects. You can get both Eucalyptus globulus and Eucalyptus radiata through @wyndmerenaturals. Eucalyptus globulus is our workhorse while Eucalyptus radiata’s scent is more subtle, but we love both for their excellent abilities to provide a cooling sensation while also keeping us alert.

Put your EOs to work this summer and try making our Summer Sun Spray recipe to keep you and your loved ones cool.

Summer Cooling Spray

-4oz mister bottle

-40 drops Peppermint essential oil

-20 drops Spearmint essential oil

-12 drops Eucalyptus essential oil

-1 Tbsp Aloe Vera

-Witch Hazel

Use distilled water to fill the remainder of the bottle. Secure the lid tightly, shake, and MIST AWAY!

FYI - misting your feet or the back of your neck will help cool you down right away.

Hi! I loved this article and am going to make this spray. The only issue was that the review tab on the left made it impossible to save without blocking vital information. Please at least move it to the left or bottom. Thanks!
